Meet Dr. Crystal Venturino, DC

Hi, I'm Dr. Crystal Venturino, a Doctor of Chiropractic with a certification in acupuncture and a background in sports medicine. I see patients at our Carrollwood clinic at 11730 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL, where I focus on adults dealing with everything from sports injuries and neck pain to headaches and hormonal health.

I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020 after completing my undergraduate degree in Public Health at the University of South Florida. Since then, I've built a practice around combining chiropractic adjusting with acupuncture, cupping, KT taping, and rehabilitative care, because most of my patients do better when we address both the structural and the systemic side of what they're dealing with.

Born and raised in New York and proudly part of a Puerto Rican family, I've always believed that good care starts with genuinely listening. I work with patients from all walks of life, including those managing complex autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, and sports-related injuries. Every treatment plan I build is tailored to where you actually are, not a template.

What Dr. Venturino Treats

My clinical focus at Grounded Wellness Carrollwood includes:

  • Sports injuries and performance recovery: including sprains, strains, joint pain, and overuse injuries common in athletes and active adults
  • Headaches and migraines: assessment and hands-on treatment targeting cervicogenic headaches and tension patterns
  • Hormonal health support: chiropractic and acupuncture approaches to support hormonal balance, particularly for women managing cycle irregularities, perimenopause, or thyroid-related symptoms
  • Neck and back pain: acute and chronic presentations across all activity levels
  • Autoimmune and complex chronic conditions: a collaborative, low-force approach for patients whose systems need a gentler touch

How I Approach Care

My practice is integrative. I hold a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a certification in acupuncture, and I draw from both disciplines depending on what a patient needs. For most patients, I use a combination of:

  • Diversified chiropractic adjusting (hands-on spinal and joint manipulation)
  • Acupuncture and dry needling for pain, inflammation, and systemic concerns
  • Cupping therapy for muscle tension and recovery
  • Kinesiology taping (KT tape) for joint support and injury management
  • Rehabilitative exercises and movement coaching

I've worked with patients managing conditions ranging from straightforward neck pain to complex autoimmune presentations, and I approach each case with the same level of care: specific, evidence-informed, and tailored to what you actually need.

Initial Appointment

Your first appointment starts with a thorough health history and consultation. I want to understand not just your primary concern, but your overall health picture.

Treatment

From there, I'll complete a physical assessment and, where relevant, an orthopedic or neurological exam to identify what's contributing to your symptoms. Most patients receive hands-on treatment during their first visit.

Ongoing Care

Follow-up care is typically a combination of in-office adjustments, acupuncture, or soft tissue work, plus any home care recommendations that support what we're doing in the clinic. I'll walk you through what to expect at each stage.
